This gala is organised by Hitchin Lions.
All the events (with the exception of the Relays) are 25 metre races and the usual NASCH handicapping system applies.
We entered 2 teams, Turtles A and Turtles B. Team A finished 2nd and Team B finished 3rd. Platypus B Team won the gala.

is was a great achievement because due to various problems we lost 4 of our swimmers on the day of the gala. As we were unable to change the times entered for the events, we had to quickly re-allocate swimmers to the individual events leading to substitutes swimming in 5 of the 12 events.
In total we won 9 medals (3 Gold, 2 Silver and 4 Bronze).
Gold medals were won by Gary Lee (Mens 3 Lengths - 100 metres), Sophie Grey (Junior 3 Lengths) and the Junior Relay Team (Ian Andrew Horne, Sophie Grey and Jamie Woodbridge
Bronze medal winners were won by Jeannette Prentice (Ladies 3 Lengths), Jamie Woodbridge (Junior 1 Length), Sophie Grey (Junior 2 Lengths) and Anne Rourke (Ladies 1 Length)
